Isn't our bike gear so hot?? :)
All went well except for a couple things:
1. It was pretty cold. Brian told me it would be 60 degrees and perfect once I started riding (which he was right), but I froze before it started. Burr!
2. The SAG station was at 18 miles. What!? So stupid. Not to mention I had to pee at about 12 miles. A SAG is a place you take a short break, go to the bathroom, etc. I just recently learned this:)
3. I fell...yes I fell. At a stoplight. I was warned, but it still happened. It just happens so quickly and there is nothing you can do about it once you start leaning. And boy did it hurt. So bad that I had a HUGE bruise on my A$$ the whole Mexico trip!! And I'm not talking about a little bruise, it was a pretty significant bruise with a small cut in the middle. I must have fallen on a rock or something because it popped up the next morning as we were headed for the beach. And sure enough, just my luck, it is just now really fading.
You may think it's weird that I am posting a photo of my butt, but it's just a swimsuit, so don't get your panties in a bunch people:). I wanted to give you an idea of what I had to deal with. And trust me, people did look at it! Brian said you could see it from the opposite end of the pool! The picture actally makes it look WAY better and less dark than it was. Brian can confirm. Damn those clipless pedals!
