When I Grow Up

I've been working on Carson's baby book some, but I'm pretty behind. I told myself I wouldn't be that mom that finishes her kids baby books five years after birth.

I've set a personal goal to work on it while the hubby is working in Canada. Gives me something to do on the weekends!

I started with a book that has clear protectors to insert pages, but other than that -- it's pretty much all DIY.

I used to scrapbook back in the day, so I'm definitely that person that enjoys spending hours on end slicing, punching and sticking, all things paper. And stickers and ribbon. Hope Carson appreciates it someday.

I'll share it with you all once it gets to a 'worthy-of-a-post' point.

Anyways, one of the pages includes me and Brian's "Predictions." It lists things like hair color, eye color, favorite subject, favorite color, future job, etc.

We filled it out about a week before Big Boy was due. It was fun comparing our answers to see if we answered the same.

I know the three of us will share some laughs 20 years from now.

For future job, I listed lawyer and Brian put engineer.

I really wanted to put NFL football player, but I tried to be practical. I still think my son's name sounds like a football star. I don't know why, I just do:)

Whatever he chooses, I want him to love it. And be passionate about it. I can't imagine waking up every day to go to a job that didn't make you happy.

I'm sure his childhood dreams will change more than once. When I was little, I said I wanted to be a news anchor. Ha, makes me laugh. 

I wonder what Carson would say today if he could talk. Whatever it is, it would have to be something where he could rock a wicked mullet.
