One of these days, I'm going to find more time to blog.
About more things other than my kid.
I really do apologize for the overabundance posting about my offspring.
But, he's cute. And will enjoy looking at this blog someday (hopefully).
I'm really only blogging because it's Friday, the day I feel like I can peruse through blogs, Pinterest and Facebook.
And squeeze out one measly Friday Phone Dump blog post.
Carson had his first explosion diaper (up the back) this past weekend.
While we were having dinner at Jose Peppers.
I didn't even realize it was up his back until after I carried him through the restaurant to the bathroom...with poop all over his back.
No wonder I got so many stares.
I used every wipe I had. Thank goodness I packed a spare change of clothes.
I wanted to take a picture, but Brian wouldn't let me.
Just trust me on this one. It was bad.
We surpassed a major hurdle for us this weekend. We got rid of the swaddle.
Yes people, my 5-month old no longer needs to be swaddled.
I'm not sure why I freaked myself out so much about making this transition.
Because Carson has slept pretty great all week long without it. With both arms out. What a relief.
In other news, his 3-6 month jeans still don't fit. He finds it funny.
I almost forgot, he got called a girl by our waitress at Jose Peppers.
Her words exactly, "She looks like you."
Ha ha, my little boy got called a girl.
Don't worry buddy, you're not a girl and don't look like one either.
And you'll never be a Chi Omega, but I can still dress you in a skull and bones onesie.
And make a turban on your head with your onesie while undressing you at bath time.
Oh Carson. You bring so much joy to our lives. I can't wait to spend all weekend with you!

Adjusting
We are adjusting back to life with Daddy.
I'm more relaxed.
And less stressed.
Shocked that I can relax.
Smitten that my muffin is home.
It's just down right awesome.
I've actually been to work on time this week.
Cooked real meals that didn't come from the freezer.
Worked out three days this week.
And had someone to spoon with.
It's the little things in life:).
Speaking of working out, I will be jumping back into spandex for the first time in a year and a half.
Oh yes, this girl will be getting her butt back on the bike. It's the first time since the BikeMS. Sad, I know. But, I'm a fair weather rider and didn't want to risk crashing and burning while Baby C was cooking.
Wish me luck. We're doing a short ride and a run. Called a brick, if you remember.
Time to start preparing and training again for the Women's Win for KC Triathlon coming this July. I was registered last year, but Baby Carson took me out of the line up.
I'm excited to get back in shape and adjust to a more healthy lifestyle again.
Sorry for the past-post link overload. I just realized I have blogged more about my experiences with spandex and cycling than I thought.
We are gathering with friends for a little BBQ tonight and will be spending time with our sweet boy all day Saturday and Sunday.
What do you have planned for the weekend?

Just Like Chicken
We started rice cereal a couple weeks ago. Our pediatrician wanted us to try for twice a day.
I wasn't so sure how Carson was going like it.
Some comments about rice cereal provided by coworkers and friends included:
"It's downright messy."
"My kid loved it."
"Phhh, just let daycare do it once a day and call it good. I wouldn't even mess with it at home."
"The last thing mine wanted to do was work for it. It's such as hassle."
So, ready with bowls and spoons, and armed with bibs and washcloths, I tried rice cereal. Mind you, I was on my own at this point. No Brian to help out.
We started out in the Bumbo...
I'm not so sure about this Mom...I think I'd rather get distracted by the things around me.
Why the heck are you taking pictures of me?
This is strange. Where's my boob?
Put that camera down and feed me damnit!
Success? Not even close.
On to Plan B.
We started trying on a Saturday, so I was three failed attempts in when daycare suggested I do it in the bouncer.
Again mom? Really? Are you sure you want me to have another breakdown?
Cereal time is more fun these days. In fact, he loves it.
Well, most of the time.
He also loves toting around his SLR camera like mommy:). Cute bib from Auntie Roback.
I have to shovel it in pretty fast or he gets antsy.
He starts kicking his legs or grabs my hand...flinging cereal. Everywhere.
Cereal face!
Nom. Nom. Nom.
I still get distracted by my bib. And have breakdowns when I'm really hungry. I'm a work in progress.
After cereal, we have bathies! Every time. Too messy not to.
I just want to play with my feet Mom!
But thanks for the cereal Mom. Tastes just like chicken!

My Kind of Monday
I'm so behind with blogging it's not even funny. I still have yet to post Carson's four month stats and photo and he is nearing five months.
Why-o-why is there never enough time in the day?
And It's Monday. The worst day of the week.
But this Monday is a great Monday. The kind of Monday you wish you always had.
Why you ask?
Because this guy was home this morning to help me with Carson.
And will be next Monday too. And the Monday after.
Because Daddy-O got a new job! Hooray!
I can't even tell you how ecstatic I am to have my husband home.
I'm also happy and thankful that all our family in Wichita survived the storms over the weekend.
This little guy is happy too.
He thinks it's hilarious when I put his rings to my eyes like glasses. He giggles like I'm the funniest person in the world.
Hope you all are having a great Monday! More posts coming soon.

He's also wondering why he has such a crazy mom.
He's getting better at tummy time and continues to love his colored rings.
Who knew that a 4-month old already has a preference on toys?
He mostly puts them in his mouth...or flings them around until he hits himself in the face and starts to cry.
He's really good at drooling these days. Our little drool monster.
We enjoyed another day outside.
While Dad mowed the lawn.
Hey sweet thang.

I'm not very funny Carson, but I'm glad you think so:)
Hope you all are having a great Monday! More posts coming soon.

Crazy Tecnnology + Pinterest Projects
I read an article yesterday that Pinterest is now the No. 3 most popular social networking site in the U.S. behind Facebook and Twitter.
Crazy I say.
It's only been around since September 2011. Impressive.
Does anyone else get the anxiety jitters from Pinterest? It sort of makes me a little coo-coo. I just keep adding to the list...
Don't get me wrong, I love it. Who doesn't? But it's a constant reminder of how many cool, crafty, thrifty, fantastic things I want to do, but just don't have the time to do.
And did you hear that Facebook bought the ever-so-popular iPhone app Instagram for $1 billion?
One billion!
Anyways, the Pinterest article reminded me of a few things I pinned in the past few months that I actually found the time and motivation to recreate. Prior to Brian leaving and me being thrown into the single mommy game of course. Thought I'd share.
Ready, set, go!
DIY scarf made from an old sweater.
I think the tutorial used t-shirts, but I liked the added texture the sweater brought to the table.
Prints for nursery - baby gift.
I sought out this idea on Etsy, pinned myself, and recreated in InDesign/Illustrator. Total copy-cat-move on my part, but I couldn't resist. It was too easy. These were for my sweet cousin's little girl, Avalynn. I also did some for Carson's room.
Cork Decor in kitchen.
I love wine. And we always save our corks. I finally found a way to put them to use.
Cork Monogram.
For my soon-to-be sister in-law and brother for Christmas. This little project was challenging. But I think it turned out worthy.
T-shirt headbands.
Three t-Shirt strips, braided + knot = headband. Genius.

Baby's First Easter
Happy Easter from the Kutter family!
Clearly, Carson loved dressing up as a bunny for our Easter card to family.
Brian didn't think so, but the picture on the left says it all.
He loved it.

Good {and happy} Friday
There's only 30 minutes left on this Good Friday, but I made it.
Big Boy and I had a wonderful day together. School was closed, so we got in lots of good cuddles.
I can't believe how fast my little boy is growing up. Witnessed a milestone today. He found his feet! He's been lifting up his legs for awhile now, but he has never grabbed his feet. Until today.
We had a crazy week. At home and at work.
Didn't get much sleep.
But not all thanks goes to Big Boy. Wednesday night, Jake woke me up three times. Three times! Pretty backwards when the dog wakes you up more than the baby.
Can Dad please come home already?
As I finish this post, the little booger lays awake in his crib. I can hear him on the monitor. Rocked him for a whole hour 2 hours ago, and he still hasn't tuckered out.
Oh, to be young again. I have a feeling I'm in for a fun night.
Good night peeps!
