Ray of Sunshine

Oh how I love thee. I have missed you so much. Glad to see you back in my life.

Here's a few of my favorite things that sunshine brings during springtime:

1. BBQ's
There's nothing greater than sitting on the back deck with a glass of wine and grilling out. Especially a nice hot dog with ketchup and relish. Yum! Or a nice juicy steak. Gotta love the beef.

2. Flowers, plants and GREEN
Finally, there will be some color in my life.  We seeded Jake's tracks tonight with an attempt to grow the grass back. Keeping our fingers crossed! And, I am actually really excited to pot flowers this year.  Last year, I got really frustrated with it, but I think it was because I did it slightly too late and it was really my first time:) Here's a pic of one of our plants blooming!

3. Driving with the windows down
While singing at the top of my lungs. Not really, but probably dancing to certain beats.

4. Going to lunch and sitting on the patio
This is my fav. Went to lunch with some co-workers today and sat on the patio at Gordon Biersch. Love it. It was fabulous.

5. Laying out
I haven't really truly enjoyed this since college, aside from our Hawaii trip. So, if someone could hurry up and move into a housing development with a pool, that would be great. Walker, I know you're prego, but could we still use yours? :) Ahhh, brings back memories of laying out at UC. Believe it or not, Brian and I first hit it off at UC before we started dating. It holds a special place in my heart:). LOL

6. This one is from Brian - short shorts
I came home today and threw on a pair of summer shorts. Yes, I am that excited for this weather. Except that I feel like we are going to go straight from winter to summer with no spring. But I'm going to do my best to not complain about the heat with the winter we all just experienced. Shorts, flip flops, dresses, tanks - can't wait to bust them all out. So, first thing when I put on the shorts, Brian grabbed the booty and seemed happy:)

7. Taste of beer
 The taste of beer is so refreshing on a hot, sunny day. I love it.

8. Lake time
Bon Fires, camping, water skiing, tubing, smores, beer, relaxing...what more could you ask for?

9. No more mud and cleaning off Jake
Woo-hoo!!

10. Royals Games
Even though they suck. It's still fun. I always root for relish in the hot dog run.

So, after looking these over, I have successfully completed all of them today except numbers 8 and 10. You're probably wondering how I laid out? Well I didn't, I went tanning. It's sort of the same, right? :)
